As part of the full-day Curtain Wall Design Summit Series, architects will have the opportunity to learn about building envelope systems and their components, materials and finishes.
The Sherwin-Williams Company (formerly Valspar) hosts this first-ever conference on innovative façade design on Nov. 6, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., at The Club of Knights in Coral Gables, Florida. Participants can earn up to 6.0 Learning Units (LUs).
As part of the day’s six 1.0 LU educational sessions, Linetec will share “Intro to Coatings: Weathering Performance and Applications.” Presented by Jon Close, Linetec’s vice president of sales and marketing, the course covers PVDF resin-based coatings, baked enamel, powder coat and anodize finishes for architectural aluminum products. Attendees will learn about these finishing processes, specifications, performance requirements and aesthetic options.
These educational courses have been approved by the American Institute of Architects’ Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) for Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) credit. Architects registered in Florida are required to complete a total of 24.0 LUs, including 22.0 HSW credits, every two years. Dec. 31, 2018 is the Florida State Requirement deadline for this registration cycle.
The courses in this series also may be recognized for CES credits through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and other professional associations.
Space is limited and registration is required. Breakfast and lunch are included. Please click here to reserve your spot.
For those unable to attend the series in Miami, please contact us to schedule an AIA/CES in-person presentation or to take our online education courses.
